Opportunity 54: Changed routines for emergency generator testing

Changed testing intervals from 2 to 4 weeks for emergency generators. This results in a saving of roughly 20 % fuel. In 2015 the consumption for these tests was about 100 m3 of diesel, the effect of the measures therefore accounts for approximately 20 m3 of diesel.

Process to get there: Study to confirm that the changed routine will lead to equivalent or better safety compared to the original testing interval.

Results (environmental and financial): Reduced CO2 emissions with 60 tons per year, a saving of about 30 000 NOK in CO2 taxes as well as reduced diesel fuel costs of 20 000 NOK.

The measure's technical lifetime: The lifetime of the field.
