Opportunity 51: Increased time interval for use of heat tracing on subsea flow lines

Subsea flowlines have been heated every second week to melt possible wax formations. Routines have been changed to run heat tracing every second month as opposed to every second week, although heating is ran for slightly longer.

Process to get there: Study to confirm that the updated interval still ensures sufficient heating of the flowlines.

Results (environmental and financial): Reduced CO2 emissions by 222 tons per year, corresponding to a saving of 110 000 NOK in CO2 taxes.

The measure's technical lifetime: The lifetime of the field
