Reconstruction of the gas export system with a smaller compressor was completed on Volve. This gave a lower power requirement, and resulted in savings of approx. 48 500 tonnes CO₂ per year.

Maersk Inspirer is a jack up rig with production equipment on board, hence the name Volve. The rig is equipped with two Low NOx Dual Fuel (gas/diesel) Solar Titan turbines, with a capacity of 12.5 MW each. Modification of gas compressor in 2014 has resulted in a lower power demand. Therefore, as per January 2015 only one gas turbine and one diesel generator are run in parallel when necessary. The main focus in 2015 will be to minimise the use of the diesel generator.

Achieved measure effect is approx. 22 MSm₃ gas and saved operating costs of about 49 MNOK/year.
